New Brake Pads

Finally I manage to change the front brake pads.

Back in April I asked one of the mechanics to put brakes on the car and to put good ones.
They put "brakefit" company that I never heard of. In fairness the performance of the brakes was very good, however the pitch noise and the wear noise was unacceptable.  Last week to my home arrived brand new set of BOSCH brake pads. This is only temporally solution as the idea was to fit BREMBO discs and pads. This time changing of the discs was unnecessary spender of the money. To be honest I was going to just post photos, however I will make a small write up it might be handy for somebody. So lets do it...

1. Loosen up the wheel nuts

2. Lift up the car and please, please, please SECUR IT !!!!! Your life has no Value.

I lost my uncle in one of accidents like this very experienced mechanic. just went to check something underneath the car a small leak and......

3. Remove the wheel and remove two bolts from the callipers one on the top on on the bottom

 4. You should now be able to see brake pads just remove them by hand at this time you can take out callipers bolts and check if the are ok if there is not much dirt built up (just pull them out and push them in when you finish), before you put them back I Will advise you to clean the callipers. This way you will avoid to damage rubber around them.

5. When you have this done it time to push in the cylinder. I did not have a special tool so I used old brake pad and two peaces of wooden blocks

6. Put in the new brake pads in the place of old once and slide the calliper secure with the bolts and you done....

7. Put back the wheel so you can drive 😂😂😂

I hope you enjoy it. If you not sure if you are able to do it please bring the car to mechanic.

Please note this is only for educational purposes all the jobs should be carried by experienced and trained personnel.....
